- ★ ★ ☆ ☆ ☆Used to be amazing, until recently taken over by the owners of Biddulph Fish Bar. So disappointed, as we stopped using them a few years ago, when every time we went, there chips were pale and soggy - just awful. We couldnt believe it when the same people acquired the, once brilliant and newly refurbished, Hightown Chippy, Congleton. We didnt know until after wed been served but, as expected, the chips were pale, soggy and limp and the fish batter had no crunch to it, whatsoever. Such a shame.
